You will love this easy and moist tres leches cake recipe. This Mexican cake is soaked with a sweet mixture of three kinds of milk and topped with an airy whipped cream frosting.

🍰TRES LECHES CAKE INGREDIENTS:
►1 cup all-purpose flour
►1 1/2 tsp baking powder
►1/4 tsp salt
►5 eggs (large)
►1 cup sugar divided into 3/4 and 1/4 cups
►1 tsp vanilla extract
►1/3 cup whole milk

CAKE SYRUP:
►12 oz evaporated milk
►9 oz sweetened condensed milk (2/3 of a 14 oz can)
►1/3 cup heavy whipping cream

CAKE FROSTING:
►2 cups heavy whipping cream
►2 Tbsp granulated sugar
►1 cup berries to garnish, optional

I feel obligated to share this, when I was younger I was taken from my family and basically was never able to learn family recipes or even know how to cook, but when I came across your channel it really brought happiness to me and feels like what home should be! I am making this cake for Mother's day which is tomorrow but I am preparing it today so the 3 Leches can really soak in the cake. Thank you so much for this recipe it is so simple that even I could do it (13 years old) all by myself. :) I ll update tomorrow on how it taste ;)

Edit: I forgot to update but it turned out delicious like you have to try this out. It turned out moist, fluffy, and just perfect the best part is its pretty simple to make :) So thanks for this video cause it really helped me out and made my mom super happy!

Edit: I'm now 14 years old and I still do this recipe it comes out better everytime!!

I made this for a Venezuelan friend for her birthday and she loved it! I was told by a handful of Latin guests that it was delicious and they've had many tres leches cakes. Funny enough, I've never had tres leches so I was clueless. I studied many recipes and chose this one. Easy to follow. I soaked the cake overnight and added whipped cream and cinnamon the next day. Thank you.

I was introduced to Tres leches years ago by my husband's family as he is Hispanic. I loved it so much we had a layered version with sliced peaches and some of the lightly sweetened frosting in the center as our wedding cake. 😊This was my second attempt at making it and your recipe is spot on. So easy to follow and delicious. I was able to halve it for the 2 of us in an 8x8.As per husband's request I just did a light dusting of cinnamon on the top instead of fruit which is also a yummy option if theres no fruit on hand. Thank you Natasha for another great recipe! It brightened our day. Hope you had a nice Easter with your family😊🙏

This cake came out so good! I cut the recipe in half and put it in a 6 “ pan . Worked out perfectly. Texture of the sponge cake was perfect firm but not to firm or soft. Taste was great. Not eggy at all. I’ve tried a few tres leches recipes here on YouTube but this will be my go to

Made this for niece's bday today. The cake turned out super soft. Used whole wheat flour instead of all purpose flour.
For the milk i used whole milk, fresh cream and condensed milk.
The cake was to die for once it absorbed the milk.
Thanks a ton for the recipe. This was my first bake with egg. But your video made it very easy for me to prepare this cake.

Well done. I’ve been asked so many times to make a Tres Leches cake. I’d never even tasted one much less made one so I watched several YouTubes before I settled on your recipe/method. Bottom line is it turned out amazing. I didn’t have my rectangle pan available so I used a 9” springform pan. It baked perfectly. I turned the cake out upside down in a deep pie plate and using my cool cake leveler saw, trimmed the skin off the top leaving the tender cake sponge. I still perforated the top with a fork before pouring the milk sauce over the top. I gave it about 3-4 hours in the fridge before icing. Being me I had to personalize the topping a bit so I used honey to sweeten the whipping cream then I incorporated some mascarpone. After icing the cake, I refrigerated it a couple more hours then garnished the cake with slices of strawberries before serving. I served this cake at a pot luck dinner at work and it was devoured before any other dessert was ever touched. Thank you Natasha for a great recipe and video.

I’ve made this cake twice since you posted it (and a third time come this weekend) every love love loves it! The only thing I do differently is double the 3 milks recipe as we like it a little more wet. Thank you!!!

It's so pretty and looks tempting. White and red always seem to be beautiful together. The cake is so fluffy, the frosting is so perfect and the berries on top make it a perfect dessert.

I made this cake this past weekend and everyone LOVED it! My husband said it tasted like a “professional cake” the cakes were sitting in the fridge for over 12 hours and I honestly think that made it better. So delicious!
