Sir,
At 1:42 what you said was a little misleading. Dot product works in any basis vector. where theta=Angle between vec(A) and vec(B). So if we want only diagonal metrix element and that to be 1 and off-diagonal element to be 0 then the angle between basis vector should be 90 degrees and that happens in orthogonal basis vectors. So you should have said, "I want to make dot product work as they work in orthogonal basis vector."

If the omega's are covariant basis vector, why do they get a superscript in the notation?
