☀️Why do we tan
Tanning is a protective mechanism where skin makes melanin to reduce the amount of damage due to sun exposure. If we didn’t tan, we would burn. So tanning is actually protecting our skin from premature aging.

☀️How long does tan stay
It depends on multiple factors:
✅how dark was the tan
✅how much sun exposure you get daily

Let’s say after a vacation, if you are primarily indoors, the tan will come off in 6-8 weeks. It takes longer for body tan to come off as it is usually darker than the face.


☀️How to remove tan ?
✅Stay away from sun. Wear protective clothing and try to cover yourself when outdoors. Over time the darker skin will shed and newer skin will look lighter .

✅wear a sunscreen
If you continue sun exposure you will continue to tan. Whatever creams you use will not be effective if you do not wear a sunscreen.

✅use creams which contains glycolic acid, lactic acid, kojic acid, arbutin, grande emit acid or licorice extract . This will help in lightening tan faster.

Use glycolic acid 6 % on the face on alternate nights
Use glycolic acid 12% on badly part every night
Use a moisturiser and susncreen in the morning
