Of course not, his narcissism truly knows no bounds and the only way he can rationalise any loss is to play the blame game.

In his head, any loss HAS to be explained away by something being wrong, because it simply CANNOT BE that the other person was better.

It is more than competiveness, it is a fatal character flaw which is baked into his personality and it's deeply troubling.
