That's funny, when you first mentioned the "all-analog" Whitney Houston, I immediately thought, "That was done completely on analog tape?" Pretty much everything on a major label in the late 80s had some digital element (maybe recorded analog but mixed digitally). So your explanation made sense.

HELL yeah, Whitney!!! She’s the shit. I’ve never bought a MoFi record (I remember my dad had some 24K Gold CDs growing up), but I might pick up those first two Whitneys!

I checked that 'Endless Happiness' label and their list of reissues both shocked and sent alarm bells ringing for me. Reminds me of that budget jazz reissues & budget label 'Jazz Time' ... Also the Now Playing series is superb & great pressings for the price point!

Will be picking up Gil Scott Heron's Free Will this weekend! Does anyone know what's happening with the cancelled(?) reissue of Winter in America for Black Friday? I was really looking forward to that one as finding a clean copy of an original is super hard. There was no mention of the mastering on that one, but I was really hoping to open it up and find KG, BG or CB in the deadwax. If it's done in this series that would be great.

Man, I was done for new vinyl for the month and then you mentioned the Gil Scott Heron, absolutely had to have it, really enjoyed the last one, they did a decent job. Wetting myself about Lost, that's really funny :) Anyone on the fence, get the Friday Night Impex, it's not my thing at all but that record just absolutely rocks. What's peoples views on the just announced craft onestep of Hot Buttered Soul? It's a killer title that's not been paid much love for a while?

Steve Young ~ Rock Salt and Nails is killer Mike, I know Country is not your thing but you should check this one out and you'll hear what good Country is all about

I have that Robert Ludwig Houses of the Holy. Not as impressive as his Zeppelin 2 because it lacks in the bass department, but it’s Definitely the best sounding pressing of that album that I’ve heard.

Hi Mike, since you were fanning the FOMO-Flames on the Pink Floyd, let me continue to say the Whitney Houston debut from MOFI will be limited to 4, 000 copies! I don't think you mentioned that! Cheers

I agree with your view on Lost. You have my vote for President, sir.

I own the Judas Priest British Steel RSD 40th anniversary which is done on two picture disc one sided each. My guess the same as the Dark side of the moon will be. It is good sounding record.

If we don't get Tripod in 2025 for the 30th anniversary, I think I'll go nuts. Same with ÆNIMA in 2026. I know I'm not alone in this but those are basically the only 2 grails I need in my collection.

Love the Rhino Now Playing series. Though not a fan of the Wilson Pickett one. The grooves on Side 1 are crammed together and the fidelity suffers. They should have spread out the tracks. The run out groove is larger than the playing grooves. Check it out.
