In this episode we are looking for a place to move again. Peniche is one of our favorite places in Portugal, so can we live here?🇵🇹

Fact dose:

Peniche is a Portuguese city in the district of Leiria with around 13,200 inhabitants.

It is also municipality, which has an area of ​​77.55 km² and 26,431 inhabitants and is subdivided into 4 parishes.

Peniche is famous for its beautiful beaches, interesting history, and lively culture just like all Portugal.

It's located on a piece of land that sticks out into the Atlantic Ocean.

Throughout history, Peniche has been an important port because of its location by the sea.
In Peniche, you'll see old buildings mixed with new ones, blending the past with the present.

The Fortaleza de Peniche is an old fort that's now a museum, telling stories from the past, last time when I've been here it was closed and this time the same 😁

You can enjoy delicious seafood from the local restaurants and experience the fish market, still cannot wake up early to see it in real life.

Beaches...People come from all over the world to surf on the big waves at Supertubos beach.
There are many water activities to try, like snorkeling and sailing, for those who love adventure. For somebody who don't want to look up for lessons, instructors etc. you can take good old school plunge in to the ocean.

Walking around the old part of town, you'll see the pretty São Pedro Church and lot of small shops and cafes.

If you're thinking about living in Peniche, you'll find a warm climate and friendly people. Trust me I lived here for a while last year.

There's always something new to discover in Peniche, making it an exciting place to be.

So, if you're considering moving to Peniche, get ready to enjoy its beauty, history, and lively atmosphere.

Real estate: For buying now in 2024 average price is 2100 eur/m2 and long term rent - 13 euros per square meter per month. I would say average prices for Portugal, so not bad. Definitely worth considering.

Another quality video guys. If you're looking for quality of life and reasonable prices, Lourinhã or Peniche will not disappoint. The whole Silver Coast is a great place to set up roots 👍

This is so great! We are considering Peniche as a hometown as well. What are your thoughts on schools? Would you send your kid to Caldas for schools or do the public schools there? I can’t find many reviews about schools there.

I’d also like to know why Caldas isn’t on your list of possible places. I have been wondering if we’d prefer Caldas for access for more to do for our daughter (gymnastics etc) but I really love the ocean and ocean views. And it’s not too far from Peniche if we had to drive there.

Glad you are getting to enjoy places with your wife. You seem so happy! I never had heard wonderful things about Peniche but will want to visit now. I love beaches with sand dunes! Is it windy all the time being basically on a peninsula? Love the way you explore towns and just kind of "wing it". That seafood platter looked amazing. Can't wait for next one. Take care!
