Max hit hard because she was such a good character. She helped el develop into the person she is. She told el to be herself and gave her confidence. She dated Lucas when he was known as a freak and gave him a chance. She lifted everyone's spirits and made hawekins 10 times better. And the best part she put her life at risk to stop vecna and save the town Only a real hero would do that. And she even agreed. So she better come back like she used to be and all happy because seeing max unhappy and depressed hurts more than anything.
