In this video, we're gonna talk about the 4 dimensions. We humans can only perceive three of them. What's the fourth one? Not time.

I've always wondered why people considered time the 4th dimension. When time could technically exist in 2D as the "3rd dimension". Or even in 1D as the "2nd dimension."

I don't think Time is a Dimension but a fundamental element to create one.
It's like If you apply 0D (dot) a time then created multiple dot stacked together, that would result as what we call 1D or straight line.
Idk actually that's just what I understand 🤷‍♂️

I think one reason we usually imagine the fourth dimension as time is because it's one of the only ways we can really imagine directions beyond the three familiar spatial dimensions.

We can't really comprehend inward and outward along... whatever the 4D "length" is called, so futureward and pastward along _duration_ makes a useful analogue.

Excellent video. At the beginning, you did a nice job of talking about 'Dimensions." But, in the future you may want to start off by pointing out that the first "point" is a "Singularity." By connecting two "Singularities" so a "Line" is formed, it allows a "Dimension" to be formed. After that, simply "Doubling" the number of "Dimensions" is the key to creating another "Dimension." Your video makes those points and does a nice job of pointing out the 90-Degree aspects.

I think I do comprehend a tesuract also inward and outward are not dimensional measurement of a 4d object because that is also measurable on 2d/3d objects as well it's why we have deviced what a radius of a circle/sphere. Inward/outward are not new measurements but just share existence with two of the three dimensions already established. If we can't comprehend a 4d object why are we able to devise a model of such objects

so my theory is this: if 4th dimension is time... this teleportation is literally possible. for a 4dimensional being, he can go forward and backward in time. so if he goes to any of those direction of time while we are still in the 3d world.... what we see is him teleporting to another place because we cant go back or forward in time. means when he enters the 4th dimension, time freezes for him and he walks to a certain place and then enters back into 3d world.

A 2d world can see a cube as a square. What we call time is but a 3d representantion of the 4 dimension. But time IS the fourth dimension. Time is the only thing that afects space. There is no reason to think its not the 4 dimension

The reason "time" is considered what makes the 4th dimension is the manner in which space can objectively move, while time remains subjective.. rendering time something measured by the observer. We could be "at the same place" but experience time moving in different directions within a 4D plane. Objects become 'alive' as they can grow/decrease and morph differently from within or without.

Time effectively stops being about "when" but rather "where" you are in 4D plane. And subjective measure which would be objectively true at the same time

Then a wormhole is a 4th dimension body possibly. Teleporting from cube 1 to 4th without passing by three cubes in between. Sounds just like teleporting from one universe to the next one .

A rhombus-shaped cube can probably be a four-dimensional cube viewed from a three-dimensional perspective.

Let me explain.

If we imagine a rhombus shaped hole in the ground,
in which we try to get a cube through, we all know it won't work, unless we make the cube rhombus.

But a four-dimensional cube can be rotated,
to another perspective, so that it (from our perspective) becomes rhombus shaped and thus gets through the rhombus shaped hole which (from the cube's perspective) is square shaped.

We can actually form a hyper cube, by using a cube and two rhombic cubes!

By the way, AWESOME video!
🙂
And thanks for reading this to you all!

This is a misconception. A line which is 1D is the collection of 0D points. A square which is 2D is a collection of 1D lines. A cube which is 3D is a collection of 2D squares. A tesseract which is 4D is a collection of 3D squares. And this is where time comes. Time is made up with infinite 3D moments. So, that makes time the fourth dimension. That's why a genius like Einstein considered time as fourth dimension.

Why should time be a dimension? Does dimension not involve cm, m, mile, km? Time is a descriptive phenomena and not a dimension.

by keep rewatching the 4d cube unfolds, I kinda comprehanded the logic. First, we need to see how 2d to 3d forms, which take two copy of 2d square and connect the sides with 2d square (not as the video mentioned where using line to connect the conners, which is mislead for imagination). Now, 3d to 4d, which is two copy of 3d cube and connect the sides with 3d cube. According to the 4d picture, it seems like there is a cube inside a cube and conners connected by a line. One way to imagine it is that 3d cube in the middle is surrounded by six 3d "trapezoid cube" resulting in seven 3d cube. And the eighth cube actually wraps around the whole thing (the right most cube in the video at 2:44). The formation "eighth cube" really tells something.
Imagine about the unfolded cube as 2d cross again, moving from top to bottom in one step seems imposible in 2d, and moving in just 1surface means the the height is 0. Also, in 3d, we are living in a 3d space with "range(4d, inward and outward)" equal to 0. If we were to see a 3d space at a different range, we may see a different world, since we can experience 3d can only see a "picture" of 4d. This is facinating, if we were 4d species, a "jump forward" is teleportation in 3d space, but like how we jump in 3d space, it feels no big deal to us and we don't conceive it as a teleportation in 4d.

Time is not "the" 4th dimension, but that does not stop the fact that we live in 4 dimensions. Time allows things to move in the universe.

I remember this guy talk about time as a 4th dimension so easily, so if you move a 3d object through a 2d plane, any observers would see slices of the 3d object. So imagine a cup, and that cup is also in the past and future at the same time, you would just be seeing 'slices' of it throughout time, this is assuming that time exists all at once of course but it is a good way to think about it.
