5+ years later, the 991 GT3 is an excellent value & under-appreciated for its PDK & not-4.0L 3.8L.

When people wonder why a 3.8L brings $400, 000-500, 000 10-15 years from now, they will understand once they drive it. The last of the naturally aspirated, 9, 000 RPM revving, insanely sounding cars to exist. At just 3.0 seconds to 60mph, it is super car territory for $150, 000 today. The huge rear wing (we all know huge wing cars are collectible - Road Runner, Sennas, early 911's, Countachs, Whale Tail Porsches, 1980's BMW M3's etc. etc.) couples with the Formula 1 sound, make this a slam dunk collectible imo. As an owner, I appreciate what it does and feel that I cannot ever put enough miles on her. Notorious for small things, the later "F"/"G" (after recall) engines fixed the valve issues and run almost flawlessly according to most owners I talk with over the years. The GT3 has all of the major things a collectible car needs, relatively low production, brutally fast, incredible sounding, harkens back to last of the 911's that still looks like a 911, just enough for both track and street without breaking your back, A/C, some tech (tech breaks down and bigger LCD/LED screen cars will be harder to fix down the road, with replacement dashes needed) analog gauges, and all the basics a driver needs. While I would opt for the front end lift cars, relatively few were ordered like this. Easily the best and most reliable sports car for the money today and a standout forever.

Awesome video as always. I saw this car, white too on the freeway, omg I felt in love. I can see any exotic out there that wont get me too exited. But when i saw this one, i was speeches. Its a beautiful car.

I honestly think an automatic in the GT3 makes more sense. Its a track focused car, and for that an auto is forgivable. As usual great video!

Porsche cutting the red line from 9k may mean that this engine format is getting to its max, one of the reasons why Porsche is probably thinking about the future of the NA 3.8-4 6 cylinder as rough, it's getting harder and harder to take more power of it while the others with v8s, v10s and turbocharged engines are getting more and more power.
Honestly I rather have a 400hp light car than a 600hp that I can't use at 9/10s, but the market are fully of consumers with small dick syndrome that buy their cars of its spec sheet, so I can understand the strategy that companies like Porsche and Ferrari are planing for their future.
