As per "Valplast" Corporate Sakes, you CAN add an additional tooth to a Valplast partial. You can also have it relined later, and they can be repaired if they ever crack or break. I know, I just purchased one.

It’s always good to inform the public but I’d like to make a correction here, you can add to a Valplast, I myself am a dental technician and have done many additions to Valplasts. It isn’t as easy as making an addition to other dentures but is entirely possible.

The metal partial world be the very one to make me lose an additional tooth! Due to the fact that it's so much more harsher on my remaining teeth. Can't win. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm so glad I found this video. I'm getting a partial and I really wanted to know the difference between the two. Best part I found out is that I can get the clasps to be natural colored rather than metal and still have metal base plate! Thank you for that info. I'll definitely ask my dentist for it when I go in next month. 👏

The metal clasp damages the tooth and causes you to eventually loose the tooth. Plastic claps won’t damage the teeth

Good thing I watched this video before going in for my partial. My insurance agreed to pay for most if not all of a partial and I got the agreement letter right away. So when I go in for my impressions (after cleaning) I'm going to ask for the Valplast metal free. Thank you!

Implants are out of the question in NZ unless I sell my house to pay for them - doesn't the hook damage adjacent teeth that it hooks on to? I'm still thinking the cheaper is best for not disturbing other teeth..

1. Valplast is not an appliance, valplast is a company. They are a few others such as TCS, Duraflex and Lucitone FRS.
2. Flexible partials CAN be repaired and you can add teeth if you like.

Why are you telling people you cannot add teeth to a Valplast partial? I have a Valplast partial and broke a molar. My dentist sent it to the lab and within 4 days they had added a new tooth and clasp and it looks perfect and even fits better than it did before.

This video was definitely helpful. I have a partial right now and I'm not sure which one I have. But, I don't have a lot of bone in my gums to hold my teeth, so I have a feeling I'll be needing another partial to exchange for my missing teeth. I'm not a good candidate for implants since my gum's bones and small mouth. Anyway, thank you for sharing your knowledge on this issue.
