Victor Davis Hanson: MSNBC Is a ‘Money-Losing Operation’

While Rachel Maddow decries the network for firing Joy Reid and large swaths of news presenters, they conveniently leave out that Reid worked a fraction of the time her Fox counterparts did for a larger salary.

If Maddow really cares about the recently fired news staff, she’d forgo her $25 million annual salary and give it away, argues Victor Davis Hanson on this edition of “Victor Davis Hanson: In His Own Words.”

“ As far as Joy Reid goes, she had an audience of about 150,000. … Everybody else had no idea what she—who she was or what she was saying. She was getting at $1.3 million dollars.
“ Very politically connected people have one rule, one protocol, one value judgment for all of us. And, they have no intention of following it themselves. They’re never subject to the consequences of their ideology.

“Do you realize, if you just said, ‘I, Rachel Maddow, tonight promise that I will work my 52 days this year for free, given the ample compensation I have received, and I will fund 250 staffers at MSNBC for $100,000 a year, given what I make, $25 million.’ Let’s just try that.”

Rachel Maddow maybe the next one to be fired. I can only hope.

And nothing of value was lost with Joy Reid being fired. And nothing would be lost if Rachel was also fired.

Rachel Maddow and Joy Reid are the worst of the worst.
Can we all say bye bye to them??

Maddow has some dirt on MSNBC. Only way she's making that much money and not getting fired.

"Never suffer the consequences of their ideology" great quote.

It's pretty wild that more people watch VDH here on YouTube than watch MSNBC (aka MSDNC). Says a lot.

Richard Maddow is a very, very angry dude, equal in hate to the level of racism Joy Reid presented. Time to shut the whole network down.

The word on the street is that MSNBC deeply regrets giving Maddow such an absurd contract and can not wait for it to expire. Her contract alone has played a major part in sinking the network.

I could listen to Mr Hanson talk about anything at all for hours and never lose interest. Love his mind ❤

Victor Davis Hanson is like Thomas Sowell: How can anyone defend themselves when either of these two mighty, intellectual American ICONS targets, and calls you out?
Both of them are powerful minds to go up against.
I will humbly be on my best behavior if I'm ever around them, praying they don't notice me and ask me a question. Mad respect for both of these men.

I imagine for someone like Maddow, irrelevance is a far worse fate than failure of her own show.
