"America was never great". Proceeds to burn American flag with no consequences. Doesn't realize the irony that freedom of expression allowed them to do that without legal consequences

Imagine how we Germans are taught to be ashamed of our country. Patriotism is a foreign word for us.

I'm Italian-American and have always found it goofy whenever people tell me I'm racist because I'm white ignoring how Italian-Americans have been discriminated in the country. Not to mention that they tell me I'm a colonizer because my race being white. Also ignoring the fact that my grandparents grew up in the poorest region of Italy and came to America not even 100 years ago, and that I have North African heritage in my family so I'm probably far more African than any of the people who call me a "colonizer" and "racist" are. Like hey mate, do your research, not all of us white Americans are the descendants of those who colonized the Americas you live and those who are didn't actually do anything themselves besides be born happening to be white at the same time.

I like to say that yes, America has it flaws, but that doesn't mean I can't be proud for being American. There's not a single country on this earth without flaws. We are human after all.

I'm an immigrant and grateful for everyday that I had the opportunity and privilege to live in this great country. The things I see being taught to the next generation of Americans horrifies me. Please please please wake up and fight against this divisive ideology. The wolves are at your door...

“It’s not about what’s right for this country anymore, it’s about what’s right for this person “
So accurate.

As a famous saying goes "Those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it"

Heck, even basic History would've been enough but sadly, "Emotions over Facts" rules the western world currently.

I'm not a conservative nor am I a liberal, I feel like I'm in between most of the time depending on the issue, and it's sad bc I feel like I just don't have a community anywhere anymore. Because I don't see 100% on either side, both sides hates me. All people want to do is yell at each other, you're right. I really think people need to spend less time online and watching the news obsessively (or getting news from various sources). I feel like the internet revs up fake, sensationalized news, pushes agenda, and brainwashes

I'm not even an American but this is just sad. People are busy making up their custom genders and complaining and demanding stuff, instead of unifying and working hard.

Trust me, the person who wrote "kill cops" cant even hold a knife to someone without losing his mind or backing down in cowardice

What a wonderful country, where people have the freedom to express what they think, no matter how stupid it may be, have the freedom to burn the flag, the symbol of the same state that granted them that right, or recognized, as a natural right, the ingratitude and complete lack of awareness of the world and its own history never ceases to amaze me...

I’m 24, so I’ve been out of school for a few years now. I don’t remember having teachers that said America is an evil country. Either I lucked out with my school, or it’s gotten worse since I graduated.

Exactly. I hate how people online are always constantly bashing Americans. I shouldn't feel bad for being American, it is my ethnicity. Apparently it's problematic to bash others

As a "person of colour" (I hate that term), I couldn't agree with you more, Misha.

In the past, say, back in MLK's day, it was about fighting for actual equality, fighting against actual oppression, and bringing about unity. But nowadays it's about putting down white people, telling them they're inherently racist, and putting "people of colour" on a pedestal. I don't need anyone to bend the knee to me. Why are they bending the knee -- an act of submission -- if we are supposedly equal??

This woke movement is creating division and inequality. Inequality for white people especially because the narrative is that white people are inherently corrupt and racist, which is obviously not true.
