i like to think of the three supers as "super conscious, super connected and super purpose" because longevity, intelligence and well being are still things that we value currently but will become things that people don't even think about in the future. post humanism could become a great challenge but it must be overcome or integrated if we are to make it into the space age

Honestly, if you oppose transhumanism because you think it isn't natural, then you really need to rethink your logic.

Humans are MADE to advance. They are MADE to live longer, be smarter, and grow stronger. Honestly, anyone who opposes this are simply scared of change. I usually like to debate with people on youtube comments (As cancerous as that sounds.), but I simply can't with this because most people here CAN'T be reasoned with. They are too stubborn, and bent that "Humans must remain pure!". It's caused by either their hellbent belief towards a god that can't be proven at ALL, or spirit people who can't accept the fact that humans are meant to advance!

10/10 Video. Let the science fiction writers work together with economists to create our future. Also, who is watching during COVID-19?

Sarif was right about one thing. It's in our nature to want to rise above our limits. Think about it. We were cold, so we harnessed fire. We were weak, so we invented tools. Every time we met an obstacle, we used creativity and ingenuity to overcome it. The cycle is inevitable... but will the outcome always be good? I guess that will depend on how we approach it. These past few months, I was challenged many times, but more often than not, didn't I try to keep morality in mind, knowing that my actions didn't have to harm others? Time and time again, didn't I resist the urge to abuse power and resources simply to achieve my goals more swiftly? In the past, we've had to compensate for weaknesses, finding quick solutions that only benefit a few. But what if we never need to feel weak or morally conflicted again? What if the path Sarif wants us to take enables us to hold on to higher values with more stability? One thing is obvious. For the first time in history, we have a chance to steal fire from the gods. To turn away from it now - to stop pursing a future in which technology and biology combine, leading to the promise of a Singularity - would mean to deny the very essence of who we are. No doubt the road to get there will be bumpy, hurting some people along the way. But won't achieving the dream be worth it? We can become the gods we've always been striving to be. We might as well get good at it.

Technology without wisdom or compassion can be very dangerous. Let us tread carefully with subjects like these instead of blindly rushing forward because of a fear of death.

To all these people who have these irrational fears when it comes to reverse aging or transhumanism, what you should really fear is your slowly dying body, it is a very painful and slow process for most of the people with many unable to do the most basic things for many years before they die. the risk of cancer and many, many other horrible deseases grows exponentionially with age and it is proven that this is directly related to aging. Also, dont you agree that every medical treatment that you get today is in the end for the sole purpose of either letting you live or to kill pain? Further, would you get a transplantation or an artificial limb if needed? If the answers are yes than please, stop with the annoying hypocricy. People have always been fearful of every Technology in history, you decide if you want to be part of these people.

I don't know how I feel about this as a whole. I full heartedly agree and support human augmentation, but for certain advancements we should tread a bit lightly and proceed with caution. Prosthetics, utilities, small improvement chips are one thing, but things like uploading consciousness, being able do things like start a car with your brain and changing the very nature of ourselves? These seem incredible, but I'm just concerned about security and implications of being able to do such things.

I do hope that we are able to reach a point like that and we are able to handle it as a society somewhat gracefully. I look to now and see how technology has affected me as a human being. With access to the internet I am networked with people around the world, have accessible knowledge at my fingertips and it's not something I like to take for granted. It's amazing, what a time to alive. And then I think what's next, a question that fills me with wonder on sleepless nights. Sharing literal memories and emotions with people, sharing ideas in bigger and better ways. There are no words I can muster up to convey how grand this could be. I just believe we have to temper our hype and take on these challenges with thoughtfulness.

It saddens me to see such pessimistic comments about transhumanism.
They are scared of curing extreme suffering, diseases and ageing.
I hope they will understand the almost unlimited benefits of transhumanism focused on the wellbeing of humans.

Why does people who against transhumanism thinks all transhumanist wants to leave forever? of course we wants to leave as long we can, but we also know that we can't leave forever no matter what. and we want you to know that transhumanism is a movement for 'better' human being, not a movement for 'immortal' human being. plz don't distort transhumanism just because you don't advocate it.

Wow, tremendously well done! You presented your ideas clearly, concisely, and with a not-so-subtle hint of inspiration. 10/10 would watch again.

The main issue for me is that this technology must be available to all, and not controlled by groups with economical or political interests. Little terrifies me more than the prospect of the human specie seperated into a trans-human overclass and a “non-modified” underclass, or the technology made to breed "ideal" humans for some twisted ideological vision of perfecton. No-one can control this technology, if the three supers is ever archived, it must be equally available to all.

Also, make those who accept "biological immortality" accept sterilization as a requirement. That is how I usually imagine that the overpopulation problem would be solved in such a scenario.

I've always been a bit critic when it comes to the idea of a technological singularity, surely “infinite progress” requires infinite resources.

What a thought-provoking concept...
I thought it was some hippie spirit crap from the thumbnail, but it's a well constructed thought experiment asking where we are going. Check it out. It's only a few minutes.

Thanks for this fantastic video!
