Mesa Dual Recto - Rev C/F/G Comparison

preview_player
Показать описание
A brief video showing a comparison of the following Rectos:

'95 Mesa Dual Recto - Rev G (Rackmount)
'94 Mesa Dual Recto - Rev G
'93 Mesa Dual Recto - Rev F
'92 Mesa Dual Recto - Rev C (Ch 2 Modern)
'92 Mesa Dual Recto - Rev C (Ch 1 Vintage)

All amps are dialed in the same, volumes equalized as best possible. ZERO processing or EQ on the tracks (not even HP/LP). Completely raw guitars, double tracked only to hear the raw tone of the amps captured as best I can.

No boosts or anything else in the signal chain. Plugged straight into each amp, mics on cab, and that's it.

F and especially C are like a halfway from Rectos to Marks, bloody love that tone.

C without a doubt my fav, tight, quick attack and clear. Followed by F, still clear but a tad warmer with bit of loose low end. G is dark and flub. Recto Multi Watt Reborn for the win! lol

I like the F. I think that's what mine is. C is great, too.

I like the F it's smoother and organic I think it will take a boost the best. I have a 2009 3 Channel Dual Rec I wonder it I could change same component values to get it to sound like the rev F.

Anyone else think the Rackmount G and Rev F sound very similar? Great clip

Does anyone know why the Racktifier seems to have a bit more snarl than the Rev G head? Aren’t they the same components??

I have a Triple Rectifier Rev F that's been modded to C specs. The Clean channel isn't that great but when I crank the lead....you can hear the lamentation of the women!!!

The C is in the 70s, the F is in the 1600s. I'm likely about to sell Rev C, serial number roughly 30.

Rev C was the most punchy and pushed sounding to my ears. also had a bit of high end bite that the others didnt
