I have a 09 Beetle, my mechanic called me with my issue and it was a failed oil cooler. I had oil in the coolant and the car overheated. However, there was no coolant in the oil at all. I am currently renting a car for $100 a day until my car is done. I am absolutely DIRT POOR as a result of all this happening

We are all here for the same reason. And we’re all fucking pissed we have to spend this money to fix it to! Wish I had a Tesla right about now

Question, I had an severe engine oil leak in the V of the engine where the oil cooler sits. It didn't mix while running, but 100ml or lets say 200ml leaked in to the V area and came out the oil drain. Very little and in it's original shape, not foamy.

Thanks for this vid' and info !

Hope this is not a side effect of what has put my '82 F-100 V6 3.8L in a 'coma state' for the past 3.5wks., on the op'table aka driveway.
No sludge appearance yet.

Chking oil - level seems higher than normal. hmmmm and this was after using atp-205', 4 hrs previous to going into a 'coma state' .
( With vehicles, I prefer to say "coma" than "dead" which would be ominous. )

"Choke pull-off" replaced last night, coincidentally now during day, .... hopeful reboot' 🙂

Appreciate it. Just changed a lower radiator hose that split. I added 2 containers of coolant. Now it's all but gone. No visible leaks. Any idea where it's going?

You said possible causes and cost of repairs for certain things but did not explain what to do if there's water in your engine. Dammit do I just change the oil do I run a certain things through the motor before I put in the oil

Ive have a 2011 Subaru STi, my Car doesn’t overheat and running fine, but there are some oil in the coolant and testet with an coolant tester but it didnt went yellow only green. The Car is petrol and not Diesel. What can be the problem? I also checked the oilcap and there are no milky gooo in the oilcap that indicates coolant in the oil.

Just had the oil housing changed and the fuel injector was pinched and oil is in the coolant overflow….does this sound like it could be the cause? It cause the belt to come off, ran hot, and power steering was gone

My ford bronco sport with 14, 000 miles on it just had this happen. I was on time with all oil and coolant changes, but coolant and oil has mixed and I’m told I need a new engine. Coolant was still full at time of incident. Warranty won’t cover it. Any tips on what I should do?

I got a Question. I let water freeze in my motor. The oil is leaking into my coolant and causing the milkshake texture. It’s only in the Coolant system not the motor though. Motor is full of oil not coolant. Yet coolant reservoir Is full of milkshake mixture. Did I crack a head gasket or oil cooler. It leaks oil In the coolant system extremely fast.

My coolant radiator failed ( corroded) and is now replaced. I separately cleaned my radiator by professionals. But other parts were not flushed, now the top reservoir is still filled with gunk, how to flush?
