I'm the kinda guy that will probably buy an XB1 slim AND a "Scorpio" when it releases. I already own two One's (lounge room and bedroom) so I'd trade one for a slim and trade the other when Scorpio releases.

I just thought of something. Isn't it odd how both Sony and Microsoft have upgraded versions of their respective consoles coming out soon? I mean it's like they confer with each other on what they are gonna do so the other won't be left behind without anything to show.

This isn't complicated at all guys. Games will still be compatible no matter the version of ps4 or Xbox one you have. If you want the better frame rate and graphics buy the neo and or Scorpio.

Just built a new PC so no need to upgrade my launch PS4 or Xbox One. I still buy exclusives for both machines but if they become outdated and no exclusives come for the launch titles because of these ".5s" then I guess Sony and Microsoft don't want my money and i'll just have to completely move to the PC.

My Xbox One definitely makes noise and I've had it replaced 2x once for wifi and once for external hard drive issues.

The streaming box thing. I don't know if other people would like that, but there are two TVs in my house I'd like to play on when it's convenient, but I never wanna move my Xbox

The Division Xbox definitely could do with a hardware upgrade.

Well it all seem likely. AMD just announced AMD RX 480 which has 2304 cores with 5.5 Teraflops of computing power. It uses 14nm transistor technology which is significantly more energy efficient than previous chip used in XB 1 and PS 4. I wouldn't be surprise if both Generation 8.5 consoles use this graphic chip along with the new AMD 14nm ZEN based CPU, but it is just my opinion.

I know there was one faulty batch of Xbox Ones in the UK where the optical disc drive didn't work so it wouldn't recognise any disc, because I got one but that was replaced by Microsoft within a week with a month free Xbox Live so I was happy!

If the Scorpio is as powerful as rumoured, and is released at the end of 2017 as reports suggest then I am OK with it, specially if it's BC. I'm used to 5 year life cycles, the extra long 360/PS3 cycle annoyed me no end. So 4 instead of 5 year is not a big deal. My two favourite consoles to date are the Dreamcast and Xbox 360, both consoles that released 4 years after the previous console.
