It’s totally legal to go in/through/across someone’s car when they are stopped in a pedestrian crosswalk. Once you are stopped there, you are legally part of the crosswalk. In fact, if they would try to take off with you inside their car, it would be kidnapping. The same applies to someone parked in front of a fire hydrant. You are then legally part of the road and your windows can be broken to make room for the hose.
