I wish there was a way where you can meet new players and explore one another’s island, when your new to a switch and don’t have a lot of friends to play on the switch with.

Shouldn’t they make it fully splitscreen? And they should make it so that everyone (at least all console users) can progress in the game

Im just sad that local coop is not split screen. Better to just play solo if you will be that restricted.

Like everyone else said, we would love to get an option to visit random islands while using online. There will be an actual reason to buy the online membership not just for visiting friends and getting QR codes.

That is so dumb that only one person can have a island PER CONSOLE. If my cousin hops on before me it's now his island and now I'm just his resident

The animation when someone joins is painful. Nintendo still haven't got online right.

here's a suggestion for families or people who are sharing the game before you start it;

have the leader be a shared character that everyone can use instead of someone's specific persona, that way whenever somebody wishes to make a change they can access that character whenever and it's not damaging anyone's personal stuff. I did this with my siblings, now we all have our separate personal villagers we can play as and the shared villager for when we want tasks or things done

I really hope they patch multiplayer, so that you can pickup items, place items, etc while you are the owner.
it's just dumb that you can't do it right now. also if someone has a timeout, all the progress is gone

This was the first game I got as a kid with my first Nintendo ds ...I always thought it had huge multiplayer potential. Love the improvements but there's still so much potential that the developers either do not realize or afraid to implement given that Nintendo games are generally catering to kids and they want it to be safe.
