This is an excellent educational video.

In my case, my 2010 Dodge Journey SXT was exhibiting "ghost horn" and battery draining symptoms.

I had a few choices: 1) Replace or have the TIPM rebuilt (possible issue with hardwired horn relay) 2) Replace the horn switch 3) Replace the clockspring.

Well, turns out that after replacing the clockspring the "ghost horn" continued. I replaced the horn switch and the issue was resolved with a $20 part and 5 minutes of time. In the end, these guys and this video saved me a ton of money. Sure, I might have unnecessarily replaced the clockspring but I did this all myself. These guys are very empowering.

Hi I am having the typical 1st gen 2010 Dodge Journey 2.4 electrical gremlin issue and would like to see a TIPM and electrical troubleshoot for horn going off by itself, and of course the voltage drop between the battery and the cabin that prevents it from starting. Trickle charger installed under hood on block heater line plugged in 4 hours a night it starts but a week without and it needs a jump. Starts and runs good though. Ty Great work!
