Great screwdriver been used over the years for many jobs it was not designed to do. Love the windows think I'll have a go at this when I'm no longer Landroverless.

Hello! I'm an old Willy's jeep guy as well as Land Rovers. Lift up windscreens are fantastic in the hot weather! I never knew that LR did them for the military. Those latch handles really are a good idea. You don't really see it when it's all the way up. And you don't see it at all if you you've just pushed the windscreen out a bit at the bottom for more ventilation. Are you producing the glass frames or was that just a short run for you and some friends? I like that you just put the measuring tape up on the windscreen and filmed the dimensions. Much easier to document! Well done!!

Hi, thanks for sharing, I have a spare windscreen for my landy. Think I’ll give it a go, I have everything apart the brackets that hold it open. Think I’m going to try the vow van ones as they seems a bit more simple.

80 inch windscreens are assembled in a similar fashion, though are more like a giant picture frame.

Why didn't you practice and rehears before you made this video, bro...you couldn't even undo your holding bolts.

Yes, it's a "safari" windscreen, but was mainly used on the Land Rover Forward Control military vehicles... You could get both options, either the whole inner frame tilting up, or one at a time for the gunner, depending left or righthand drive.. They were hardly used on civilian Landies.

If you wanted to tilt your total windscreen onto the bonnet of that Landy, you would have needed some rubber padded brackets or a spare wheel fitted in order not to damage your paintwork or hood.
