it is good to not enclose your castle. keep open a small way on your top and you can concentrate on that line where enemy keep going there.

I wish we could get more videos of Stronghold man. Instead we've got all these battle simulator vids. I used to watch this guys vids for Stronghold like I watch Princeofmacedon's vids for Rome style games

I found useful to surround towers with a line or two of walls to protect them from catapults, trebuchets and melee units triyng to destroy them.

you could have made two rings of walls there, the barbican you know, it makes your castle look more cool, like a fortress, or a citadel.
