I am being serious, but you just explained life in this video. Thank you so much for this. I feel like my reading and writing comprehension just went up a few levels.

I'm also teaching Spanish at a university and I'm a native Spanish speaker. Your videos really help me explain things to my students. Thank you. But I'm not sure if I totally agree here. I believe "Esto no se come" would more accurately be translated as "this IS not eaten." meaning that this is not something meant to be eaten. "Esto no se vende" would translate to "this IS not sold." meaning this is not meant to be sold. Se habla Español would better translate to "Spanish IS spoken (here.)" "Como se llama?" literally translates to how IS he/she called." "Se" refers to something that "is." "Esto no se hace" means "this IS not done." Meaning this is not meant to be done and it goes against what IS established to do this.

I was one of the 2.4k people to like this seven year old video that I just watched for the first time. I added it to my new passive voice play list. This was a great video and still is.

Thanks for this Jordan! I live in Mexico and I teach English to the locals and Spanish to the foreigners. I was having a lot of trouble explaining "se vende" to a student today, but your interpretations (interpretation is a much better word than translation) have helped give me a clearer idea of how to attack the problem.
