If you grew up in the time that Victor Davis Hanson and I did, I think we are about the same age, ...in California, then you would know how really tragic it has become. We saw it when it was glorious... wide open and unpopulated...and we watched what happened, and it IS tragic.

Chicago, like many other states has received millions of dollars in Covit relief money from the federal government to be used by the city for their needs.
Public school enrollments are significantly down. Crime up to the eyeballs. Yet, recent property taxes have doubled or even tripled for some residents.

What happened to all the Covit money that federal government gave to Chicago? And why are the property taxes going up so much?
