Still impressed that it still pulls well with the 2.0T. My 9000 2.3T (225HP) pulls away quite well then the Turbo spools up

I've owned and loved both of these (currently a 9000 CSE 2.3T/auto). The Volvo 5 cyl sound is glorious! The SAAB automatic harnesses the turbo so well, but the autobox under that much stress made me cringe!! Great match-up.

The Saab DIC missed 2 bolts, . rofl. Yet it run, they made it too good. I own a 93 9000 CD 2.3NA, less power without the turbo, but it is smooth, really smooth linear engine response.

No discussion which one sounds the best those 5 cylinder Volvo engines sounds soo good even the low power na ones. But the Saab is surprisingly fast considering it has an auto box

I reckon an auto T5 may have just about sneaked it, 90% of the time an auto is quicker unless there's a very handy tillerman in charge. Biased though cos the old man had a T5 auto back in the day

I just take off the vacuum hose from the actuator on stock g 13 turbo and regulate fro westgate until he blows 0.9 bar on my t5 wagon and its more interesting 😅

Hard to believe that 2.0 Saab engine IS outputting much more than 200 hp Despite the Tdo4 Turbo.. Box is fragile and simply can't stay together under more power.
