I just installed this very unit on my 2017 Tacoma TRD-Off Road. I used this install video as a guide for me and I have to say...it was every bit as easy as this video demonstrates. This new head unit in my opinion after two weeks use is FANTASTIC! The feature and functions it offers and provides in use are crisp and responsive. It perfectly integrated with my steering wheel functions and provides me with engine and vehicle information that my stock head unit didn't. The coolest thing for me is that I now have wireless Apple CarPlay that has been incredibly quick and responsive. A lot more I could mention and talk about but you get my point...I'm very happy with this new unit.

Installed this kit/unit into my 2017 Pro from Trail Grid. They did all the wiring, was stupid simple to install. So much better using Gaia Maps on a large screen. Only thing I changed was moved the storage bin from the top to the bottom so the radio sits higher and the new bin is accessible (you can see what I’m referring to during the main head unit install before the screen goes on)

I never review anything I buy, but this is the second one I’ve posted for TGP. The unit will sell itself, but the customer service, customer care, and product care I experienced is worth the price of the unit itself. Watch this video, watch the overhead mic video, and everything will work as advertised and you will NOT be disappointed. Please, if you’re on the fence…stop what you’re doing and give these guys your money. lol

I hate to say it but this set up is amazing. Had my doubts. Liget no brainer. Works amazing with jbl factory speakers and sub. Dont know If anyone mentioned this, but my audio system sounds so much better with this head unit

I dont have the JBL system, is that non-amplified? I'm assuming it is asking if there is an amp for the subwoofer in the JBL system?

Thankyou for the great instructions for putting in a Sony 9500ES in my 2021 Tacoma.I'm 70 and had no trouble following your video.I do have one problem with the back up camera. I ordered the from camera from you which you wired in to the radio so I just needed to run the wire through fire wall and connected it. Now I out my truck in reverse and my front camera comes on.I hit camera # 2 and rear comes on only if your not in reverse. reverse camera works put I lost the rear camera when switching to reverse. What do you think I done wrong?

My son just received his Sony Xav- 9500es for his 2020 tacoma sport. We have 2 of the 3 meastro harnesses connected but there are 2 remaining from the truck that are keyed to fit, a grey and a black… which of the 2 is used? Should they both have been used but I’m missing a female end out of the meastro??
Any help in identifying which is correct would be appreciated

Can you do a follow-up video on this answering everyone's recurring questions? I really love this upgrade and want one myself. But there is a lot of questions in the comments and not answered in the video. Answers on the ease of use of the eagle eye view, anytime front camera, does the front camera get rid of the blocked section? Are you saying the camera view button on the left driver side is inoperative now?

Will this work in a 2023 tacoma with a 360 view camera and front camera? Or would i loose those features? And would it still be plug and play for that?
