It was created to standardize JavaScript and support multiple independent implementations. The first edition of ECMAScript was released in 1997. ECMAScript version numbers run from 1 to 7.
4-Many people interchange ECMAScript and JavaScript, some consider both are one. But it is not. ECMAScript is the specification and JavaScript is one implementation of ECMAScript. You can consider ECMAScript as a rule and JavaScript as the implementation of that rule.

6-JavaScript was developed for Netscape. The first browser to run JavaScript was Netscape 2 in 1996. After Netscape the Mozilla foundation continued to develop JavaScript for the Firefox browser. JavaScript version numbers run from 1.0 to 1.8.

7-JScript was developed by Microsoft as a compatible JavaScript language for Internet Explorer in 1996. JScript version numbers runs from 1.0 to 9.0.

8-ActionScript is an object-oriented programming language originally developed by Macromedia Inc. (later acquired by Adobe Systems)
