Big thanks to Trash_Bandatcoot, venen0791 and everyone else that reached out for helping with this video!
Probably going to do (at least) one more video on this game, but gonna take a break from it for a week to cover something else

5:56 the cow is in fact in the final game! In the refrigerator refrigerador freezarator level when you go back to the beginning with the spicy pizza powerup and break through the ice blocks, the free milk cow will appear near the lap 2 portal, and it still removes your ability!

I think Ghost Peppino being able to control enemies is actually more akin to Ghost Kirby, being able to directly possess and control enemies

Since you mentioned how Unexpentancy Part 1 was sampled from one of Mr Sauceman’s scrapped games, I thought I should mention that Unexpentancy Part 2 was actually inspired from a 1920’s song called “After you get what you want, you don’t want it.” Pretty neat stuff ngl.

1:16 I always thought after you got jump scared, Peppino rocks back and forth like he was traumatized

16:28 I'm not sure if you're aware, but this track was previously used in the game, playing as you enter the castle from outside in Pizzascape. I assume it was removed to give Hot Spaghetti more play time.

I think it's always so interesting to see just how different a game's development was over time. A lot of the transformation at first seemed to emulate the Puzzle Platformer side of the Wario Land games, but were altered in order to the new vision of the momentum based platforming we have now. Same with a lot of the scrapped characters and multiplayer mode. It was cut in order to further refine the experience that we would. More doesn't always mean better, and I think Tour De Pizza realized that.

the unused "Spaghetti" music was, in the oldest versions, the third song used in between "Cold Spaghetti" and "Hot Spaghetti"

but, since it was only used for 1-2 rooms, it was scrapped because few players could appreciate the song without just standing in place

The beta ghost ability appears more like the one from Kirby squeak squad, now that you mention the possession capabilities.

"Choosing the Toppings" also appears in the games soundtrack on steam, along with some other songs that don't appear in game, such as "For a Few More Toppings", which was used in a video to reveal the Vigilante as a playable character in an older demo

I do miss when transformations had their own unique fixes like the tombstones for ghost peppino, the corn for mort, etc. I also really like the animation for The Noise holding Mort at 10:34, I swear The Noise has some of the best character animations and I hope these get to be in the game if/when he becomes playable.
edit: 14:43 Okay but why is he absolutely ass naked tho???

The ghost ability possessing enemies actually fit more with kirby's ghost ability

That Ronald Mcdonald Insanity tune may not have been intended for the final boss at any point, but I'm certain it inspired the Phase 2 music of the actual final boss. The little snippet played here for demonstration purposes immediately brings that track to mind.

those unseen jump-through platform and block sprites seem to be a really good way to save time on level design. Just plop these down and then come up with the visual presentation for the level later

I’ve actually wanted to try this game for a while, people said that it’s a masterpiece and the music is amazing so I’m very excited to try it.

"touch some spikes" must an equivalent of "touch some grass" for Peppino

18:16 I like how you used the tiny noise as a little time bar until the soundtrack bit ended

So basically Fire-mouth Pepp was originally the Fire Wario transformation where you ran for a while before the fire consumed him and turned him to ash. I love these parallels with the games.
