4wd Short Course A-Mains: ROAR Electric Nationals

We had a blast at the ROAR 1:8 Off-Road Electric Nationals over the weekend! Garland put on an awesome race with a great atmosphere! We set up our pits behind the dirt track on the turf area. We had a few tents and tables for the JC/AE guys, while other drivers pitted inside the building next to the track or in their own trailers. The weather was a tad hot but there was a nice breeze and a gorgeous view of the mountains all weekend long!

The competition was stiff with drivers like Dakotah Phend, Ryan Cavalieri, Joe Bornhorst, Tyler Jones, Cole Tollard, Lee Setser, and so on. If you check out the results you’ll see how many fast guys there were! Despite all of the competition, there was still a chill, fun vibe among all of the drivers in the pit area. A nice commodity as well was that Chambersburg was a super short drive away and had all the hotels/food you could want!

Can I just point out the text book ethics and skill with these drivers are showing clearing out of the way for the leaders to get around with hardly any interuption and slowing down absolutely fantastic sportsmanship, and text book racing ethics well done!

It's such an epic battle! These fellas are definitively putting on a show. SCT ISNT DEAD!

SCT is my favorite type of rc racing. I like that two trucks can make contact without crashing every time because the wheels aren't open. I think it makes for more exciting side by sides.

SCT is the most fun class to watch race. Thanks for the video.

That opening race was seriously phenominal, at least by a guy (me) who hit the tracks a decade ago when they had not all shut down where I lived.... I truly LOVED the front 3 going at it, and the pole starting truck came back and kinda knocked the OG 2 & 3 back a bit... Of course, them instantly recovering is some serious "stick" (wheel) and throttle action all across the track...

Great race!! Looks like a blast.
Couple bad spots in that track.. noticing a pattern on a couple inside corners.

This is one of my favorite vids of SCT Racing. What camera is being used for this event?

Its just so much more fun to watch than Buggies, and race i would guess? I watched the European 4 wheel drive Buggie championship 2024 and for me it was boring, like when formula 1 has a dominant team. But this is just so much better to watch, like rallying compared to F1. Love it.

How do you think the Arrma mohave 4c does on a track? Not talking about scale. Mohave being 1/8 s and these racing are 1/10 scale. Racers, has anyone driven the Arrma Mohave 4s on the track?

Seeing stuff like this is why i think its a problem for letting the first place guys go by. It caused a ton of wrecks, It doesnt give people further behind the chance to actually catch up as theyre just letting the people battling by and no one else even if theyre a few seconds off, and they should have to earn that position by doing a clean passinstead of it just being handed to them.
