Writing more of a Miami Vice by Night 80s game of V20. Long time Storyteller of vampire since the 90s and yet I feel like everytime I come to your channel its like rediscovering the game when I hear you explain things. Almost like falling in love all over again. Well done.

If I may, the Lore by Night Guy absolutely covered all the details and more that I would personally when i try to teach people how to run games. A fantastic video all around. But I do have a point I would like to help make clear exactly how important it is. Always remember, you are running the game for players and your self to have fun. When that goal seems impossible then you need to take a step back and figure out what is going wrong. Listen to your players, both the things they say and don't say, give everyone their time to shine and clear indication who you are trying to have step up. If a player seems bored find a way to get them to interact with the scene, if the group seems bored then take a break and after ask everyone individually if they want to continue (without pressure from the other players or your self). Always remember that the only advantage table top role playing has over modern Multiplayer RPGs is that the TTPRPG experience allows the players a vastly greater degree of freedom of choice and agency. It is their story to tell, you are just providing the setting.
