Chinese tech giant Huawei launches smartphone with homegrown OS

Chinese tech giant Huawei Technologies launched its latest premium smartphone boasting new technological breakthroughs on Tuesday (Nov 26). The Mate 70 series is seen as proof that Huawei has made further progress in pivoting to self-reliance despite US sanctions. CNA’s Tan Si Hui reports.

I'm a US citizen currently residing in Shenzhen. When the US sanctioned Huawei, I determined that my next phone would be a Huawei, and six months ago I bought a Huawei Pura 70, and its the best phone I've ever had, even better than the iPhone! I also now own a Huawei router, and its the best etc. etc.! Their HarmonyOS-based laptop will be my next laptop.
