QlikView Scripting | Basics

In this video I've talked about how to write script in QlikView.
Scripting in QlikView is a heart for designing the analytical application because this is the place where you mold the data according to your requirement so that you can present that in the front end to satisfy the end user demand.
Scripting is a big and complex subject in QlikView and with the video I'm starting a series on QlikView scripting to help you know the scripting challenges.

Hi, I love your videos and the tutorials. I am a beginner in Qlikview and would like to post a question. I understand that most of the data Qlikview deals with are granular data. However, I also have aggregated data meaning data provided to me is already being summed up or converted to percentages and rates. Can Qlikview read these data and if so, what would be the script be when loading the data in???.... Would like your fedback on this... thank you

I need you urgently, I have problem with scripting.
I create a table with dimension (ID of invoices), and I add expressions sum(Amount..).
When I remove a type of invoices and reload, I found that a line still there with sum under dimension '-' ??
I want to remove the additionnel line.
Can you please help me ?

I have a column which shows values 0, 1, 2, 3, 5. I am creating a Table and I need to use a COUNT function to count how many 0 values I have in the column. Then I will need another function to count how many 1 - 3 values I have in the same column.

hi, I would need some assistance.
I would like to link data from a tool navigation insight to Qlikview.The data should be reflected in
Qlikview whenever the data is fed into Navigator Insight .Whenever there is an update in the concerned field in navigator insight, I want it to reflect it in Qlickview.If there is no update, the data field in Qlikview would just display no correction and maybe send a reminder or alert to the concerned department.I want to synchronize it as well.I just have the QVD s which are used in the Navigator Insight.How can I proceed

Hi Abhishek, i am not able to edit the script please help.

i loaded an excel file in to qlikview and created a table box with few fields and tried restricting the data like you mentioned in this video, but its not showing any change in the table box..i, e the script is not working on the table box which i created.
can u please help me with this if i need to change any settings etc. please help.

why the Load 'Address' or 'Notes' doesn't need to use as [Address] while others need [ ] ? what is mean
