I think what won it for Christine was foresight. She saw the 3 courses as a complete meal. Maybe some Americans won't understand, but when you're constructing a set 3 course menu, you have to take into account the flavours of each course as a whole, not just separately. Having a heavy main course and then a heavy, sweet, dessert sounds great, but it doesn't provide balance to your meal. Ending a meal that had a braised pork belly with a sorbet, even if it didn't have enough lime flavour, from a construction perspective, was brilliant. You want to leave a meal feeling comfortable. If everything is heavy, often you don't. You're too full and your overall experience isn't what it could be. And there's just as much skill in cooking a pork belly as there is lamb. You want the meat to be tender and shred without being mushy. Pulled meat shouldn't feel like it came out of a blender. There's an art to that too. Neck and neck, but Christine did a phenomenal job of planning her menu and even if the execution was only 95%, she clearly showed she understood flavours and balance a little more than Josh, who also did an excellent job. Also, Joe drives me crazy. Gordon analyzes food just enough. Joe has to try to outsmart everyone and he comes off like a self-important clown who knows a lot less than he wants you to believe.

Ngl, I agree with Joe about Christine's appetizer. Yes, it might be a little bit conservative and doesn't look as appealing as Josh's dish but at the end of the day she properly cooked hers while he undercooked his lobster, WHICH WAS THE MAIN COMPONENT.

Just finished to watch this season and I was absolutely shocked that Josh had been in heaven for 13 years. How come it happened. I am so sad. He was so talent and passionate. R.I.P Ross :(

I never get tired watching this finale. I've been rooting for sweet Christine since day one. She's one if the greatest examples of not letting odds scare you and just do what you love without restraint. Wish to be able to meet her someday and write something for her in the form of a few poetries

I think you can‘t critizise Christines plaiting because she is litteraly blind. She simply can‘ t plate her dishes like Josh.

The moment he said he doesn't care of what others think I already know it's going bad and it will definitely affect the expectations of the judges. Like why would you cook something you haven't cooked in the finals. Bro's masterpiece got defeated by a flavorful home meal. Like isn't Finals supposed to be showcasing everything to create a perfect dish not an experimental dish that you aren't sure of.

Sometime, there's some dishes very simple but quality and delicious. It can beat the luxury dishes. Christine is one out of people same as lady who have been won the champion masterchef USA in season 1. She was also a person who had made the simple dishes with Vietnamese style in the final round, and she had approached to the champion Masterchef USA in the finale. Don't ever look down on something very simple and small, for it will turn into an invisible opponent and it can defeat you at anytime. The people often said "Don't ever judge a book by its cover". To be honest, we couldn't that not admit her talented. Although, she was blind, but she's been done something beyond expectation of everyone. She did very great job. 👍
