New Upcoming Farming RPG! - Harvest Hands

Think a Stardew Valley/Harvest Moon type game with a little Slime Rancher mixed in. That is the impression this one gives me. I plant some crops, gather some foragables, complete some quests and meet those NPC's of course. This game definitely has my attention and I'll continue to watch it grow! Harvest Hands gameplay with my commentary as always!

"Sell stuff" is just a euphemism for crop-based warfare. Unknowing farmers and foragers is the planet's only defense but since pacifism seems to be the philosophy of the place the military command needed to be inventive.

Idk. The sci fi gun multi tool kind of killing the mood of farming to me, but that can just be my own atmosphere preference of this type of game. I can totally love a multi-tool with a weird-looking combination of axe, hoe and pickaxe. There is just some kind of satisfaction coming from watching your character swinging your hoe or pouring from watering can on every blocks in this kind of game.

This game has some really cool concepts but, like a million other Harvest Moon-like games, really falls on its face with the artstyle. The pivot point for most of the type of games are character interaction. People need to be able to relate to the characters to become invested in the world ie; actually want to farm to get more money to buy better gifts/house upgrades/ clothes/ tools/etc. You can't get a lot of people invested in the game's world if the character models all look like Raggedy Ann dolls.
