DRL is the Real Deal, no holds barred racing and I love watching it.
Thank you.

sorry but the interest of drone racing is not only about the race, but custom build to make your quad better and faster, this is the only way to make think interesting and challenge builders. I personally would not participate to a race who impose you a specifique frame. i am ok with limitation like, size weight, or power and other technical spec (like in F1) but certainly not imposing a certain brand.

Could imagine new live video games being played online with real drones.

in the future I can see general specifications for classes, allowing for custom builds.I can also see Boeing and Lockheed poaching the top designers to build a full size quadrocopter.

What sort of quadcopter frame are they using?

I would love to get ahold of one of these drones and check it with some of our more advanced pilots.

People in 2019 would never build a drone that looks like that

Personally, I would love to drive it like a rental and not give a crap whether I destroy it or not. I don't care about the frame as long as its pretty light. I can tune the board and make it fly exactly how I want. Source: real life ownage.

So how do i become a player/pilot for this sport?

I can see planes being cusom built, but only if the drone passes the testing phase. This will then challange for who can create the fastest drone without going to fast to control

hi. why we do not have the technology to stream a clear flawless real time video to the pilot's FPV g. and the audience? the quality is always so poor with many interference.

and also. if we cannot live stream a decent video (480p, 720p) with no interference for few drones, i guess it is just not even possible to do it, let's say, with 100 drones simultaneously, why not 100?

of course I am not an expert in antennas / transmission systems and telecommunication engineering ... but what are the technological limits that cannot make live streaming 100 video feeds possible? can we make it one day?

I'm just trying to process in my mind why they only fly for just a short amount of time

Come on, building and tuning the drone is as much fun as flying it. I would not join a competition where i can not fly my custom build and beloved drone sounds kind of boring imo.

6 mins of flight time lol. Maybe if you just hover.

We'll will see this more and more. When people see $$$ to be made they'll try to take over. Stay out of my sandbox, I enjoy building my own castles.

Too much regulation and standardization kills innovation! At a time when the sport is just getting started this is just stupid.
