OpenWRT - Captive Portal - WiFi Splash Page

In this video, we will setup WiFi Captive Portal / Splash Page on OpenWRT. This is also known as WiFi marketing. There are wide ranges of packages which can be used to setup the captive portal, and I am going to use OpenNDS.

Great tutorial. The main issue in this video is the captioning. The English is missing/inaccurate. It has a lot of Vietnamese and English mixed up and inaccurate words. Check the CC. For the Deaf and Hard-of-hearing under us.

Why when i edit something on vi /etc/config/opennds
Example the gatewayinterface seems not applying or doesn't do what's supposed to do.

I would like the splash page to only be an informational message. Therefore no internet access and the continue button would terminate the session and release the DCHP assigned. How would I do that? Thanks. I love your OpenWrt tutorials.

Thanks for this tutorial! It was very helpful. But there is a problem for me opennds isn’t working and I don’t know why? Shouldn’t we add a firewall rule allowing the 2050 port which is the opennds gateway port?

Interesting and well explained. I have a unifi ac lr openwrt i use as client mode at a hotel captive portal but when connecting shows me login address in chrome but no splash or logging option I installed travelmate opkg but not working can you advice ? thank you

I recently upgraded my router, an Archer C60 from TP-Link, and replaced EEPRON with a 16 MB one. However, OpenWRT does not show this Upgrade.
