They should've got someone that can actually play to do the demo

I love how an amp he probably used for an overdub or two is suddenly “his sound.”

Makes me miss Andy's reviews on Pro Guitar Shop, he loved breaking out the QOTSA!

This amp is AMAZING to double guitar tracks in a recording session

Dude cannot play these riffs or dial in the correct tone for a demo meant to replicate these riffs.

For anyone wondering they used the peavy decade with a mic pretty much straight in the middle for the bass tone for songs for the deaf. They also used a cleaner bass amp for underneath and mixed them together. I assume on other albums they probably use it for guitars and blend it in with the other amps for the high end range. Josh's main amp has always been ampeg combo. This amp is more of a studio tool

Peavey amps from the 80's are fantastic

This video is a big example of tone being in the fingers

Is it April First already?
Josh Homme just pulled off the music's funniest practical joke.

I'm so sorry but I've never heard so many great riffs played so poorly.

Looks like the band themselves got a kick out of this video too 😅

Please nominate us to review this piece of equipment with a variety of pedal brands running through it. We would love to compare this to the Peavey Decade and Ampeg VT-40 that we use for our tribute shows. Very grateful for this product to exist.

The four sticks rendition was cool. Reminds me of Jeff Buckley

Peavey is so under rated. Im a bass player. I had a TKO65. 15” combo. Kinda bulky but it was my firat amp. I started gigging and bought ridiculous Trace Elliot rig. It was too much. I started gigging with the TKO…. Sound guys loved it. Soninstarted using it in the srudio…. 🤷‍♂️. Its a beast. Still have it… 40 years later. Not. One. Problem. Ever.
Their basses back in the day also severy under rated and ive currently been looking to purchase one Cirrus or Grind.

Kind of interested… I have a Ampeg VT40, which nails the sounds with EQ pretty well. But seems like a nice home amp or preamp into DAW. I usually run a JC amp into a IR loader to a Neve pre for demos. Could see using something like this similar. But def want more info on what’s underneath the hood.

But when you compare this to other artist amps…it’s pretty cheap. Josh could have gotten with Ampeg, and went nuts like Jack White. But this is good business for him, and Peavey. Def an impulse buy likely for me.

Interested in what input he had with the extra features here. The decade pedals are even near $250.

Is a cool and fun amp for overdubs, but let's not forget that Ampeg is a huge part of Josh's tone.
