Doctor Who Alternative Series 8 Opening Title Sequence

Here is an alternative series 8 title sequence which I have been working on for a while and has gone through many different forms. I wanted the title sequence to be a bit darker as the series seems to be in a bit more of a darker direction.

Crazy cool! Just long enough and you included the TARDIS. Please do remakes of the older late 70's and early 80's versions? :)

I still agree with what Billy Hanshaw said - "The Doctor is a Time Lord, not a Space Lord". seeing as what you said is also correct, the Doctor Who titles are fit neither by clockwork, nor by space (at least in the way it's seen normally; the 80s intros - the prism/lensflare starfield, and the CGI galaxy with the asteroids falling inside and the TARDIS trapped in a bubble thingy - were acceptable, because they weren't just plain stars and/or nebulae being flown past). What suits Doctor Who best, then, is the abstractions from the 60s and 70s intros, representing the Time Vortex, and the bits and wads of artron energy that reside in the Vortex's dimension.
You should try making visual effects like the spell effects from Harry Potter (the Patronus Charm, and the pensieve from Goblet of Fire, come to mind especially). To save resources use cloth and soft bodies instead of particles most of the time. Experiment as much as possible. Read about how they made the visual effects there. I really believe it would look awesome.
To me, the title sequence with the best concept in the new series was the previous one. Pity it was ruined with such awful animation. Now you can do it justice, and have it done right (Xandercom, IMO, didn't, because he misinterpreted it by much).

It's very similar to the 2005 Title Sequence in term of it being a straight thravel down the time vortex. I do however love the finishing zoom into the TARDIS light! Very nice transition.

i definitely like these more, especially the darker music arrangement

but moffat wanted to go with a title that was radically different from the usual, so he borrowed some concepts from a fanmade version. honestly, he should have just used the fanmade version, it was better executed than the "official" one. look up neon visual doctor who intro and you'll find it
