The Garden in May // A lot to show you and an emergency for Maggie

It’s the Garden in May, and the garden has exploded into green life. This time, I’ll be showing the progress of my Fryd bed, how to make simple plant supports, and harvesting the first of this year’s potatoes. Then I introduce you to and plant up three very unusual edible plants – all are completely new to me – and the new works on the garden shed. I also show you this year’s container garden set-up and greenhouse garden and give you a full look at the garden and Polycrub.

You’ll also get to see Josie, who’s grown triple the size she was in March and we wait on word from the vet about Maggie. She was hit by a car two days ago and has been at the veterinary clinic ever since.

I, m sorry Tanya but i am so relieved that Maggie is fine that i completely missed the entire show and tell on the garden. I have to rewatch it a few times. Big cuddles for my favorite garden friend Maggie. I sadly lost my boy march this year due to a seizure. I still miss him every day.

So glad Maggie is ok. Those fur babies! Also feathered friends (chickens, in my case) love to roam but we have big trees and hawks. So they get supervised when I'm in the garden and the dog might help deter the hawks, but I'm not counting on that. You do what you can to balance happiness vs safety. Garden looks lovely!

I've seen some epic "catios" online and I'm positive you and Josh could out do them all. Maggie would have the best of both worlds. I'm so very happy she is on the mend and safe.

Such a bountiful garden, I'm always inspired by your videos. You really put a lot of work into it's development and structures.

All of the gardens are just beautiful. That was a really great idea for the potting bench. Many blessings to Maggie may she heal quickly. Have a blessed week ahead.

Cats and roads are such a problem, especially when you have a cat that loves to 'travel'. Hopefully Maggie has learned her lesson and she'll be a little more circumspect around the Lane. I'm glad she's recovering well. The garden is looking beautiful. It's great to see the 'rooms' being created by the clever plantings you put together.

So glad Maggie is going to be okay :) I have always let my animals have freedom. My chihuahua can be taken by a fox or bord of pray, but she has to live. Your garden looks lovely. I am having a slug problem this year and they ate my chilis and peppers.

Hoping poor Maggie recovers back to her usual self. She looks alert, so hopefully no lasting damage.
Planted first early Duke of York potatoes mid-February in seven pots. Harvested first pots at beginning of May and the last for this weekend. The Caledonian Pearl first earlies planted in the ground late April are through the soil but will be a couple of months yet. Strawberries in flower and there are some small berries appearing. Everything else is a bit behind yours in Man.
