Manual vs. automatic... 15 year old port injected Nissan vs. modern, direct injected turbocharged BMW with AWD that costs twice as much. These cars are in different classes plain and simple. That Beemer is an amazing work of engineering, but it's bland and scarcely distinguishable from the rest of BMW's lineup. The Z on the other hand is icon; the proverbial last samurai of the old school driving experience.
