My Last Ever Mountain Dew! Gastric Bypass update

Показать описание
2 weeks away from the gastric bypass and now we're entering our liquid diet portion of things. This means for the rest of my life no nicotine, no carbonated drinks. For 6 months, no caffiene and no alcohol (though I don't drink anyways.)

But yes, today we start our pre-op liquid diet. Its like a liquid diet cleanse, but forever :p

We're only 2 weeks from gastric bypass though so please endure the following videos like this one in which I try to both share and educate you guys about the experience of weight loss surgery.

Boogie I give you the biggest luck. My dad had this and fortunately he got through. It was a bit tough since he was an alcoholic. While you were talking about your diets and getting the surgery. I got flashback of me being so scared as a kid. I remember seeing my dad on the hospital bed. Boogie, you have done so many good things and showed us your good will. I pray you will get passed this for a healthier life. Thank You Boogie.

I honestly felt a rush of pride when you threw the dew away. That was incredible. As you go on this path to a better life, I hope you never lose sight of your goals, never allow yourself to stray and never back down in the face of adversity.

You rock, boogie. I think I can speak for all of us when I say that watching your mental journey up until this point has been legitimately inspiring for us all. Show the world that you can do this!

I would love to see boogie in 3 years, where he has become ripped and now has a fitness channel.

My cousin and his wife went through gastric bypass surgery together about two years ago and it was the best decision they both ever made as they were both 200+ pounds overweight and now they're healthy. God bless you Boogie sir

I wish you all the luck in the world, Boogie. Truly I do. It's good that you're scared, it means you're not stupid. You can try and fail a million times, but as long as you keep getting back up and keep trying, that's what matters. The days where you wake up and just win and everything goes your way, those are the easy days. The days where you can barely drag yourself out of bed, where you are in so much pain and discomfort that it's a mental battle just getting yourself to believe...those are the tough days and those are the days you become most proud of.

I rushed downstairs to grab a glass of water and brought it back up. I resumed the video and clinked the glass against the screen, then drank.

Thank you so much Boogie, I will be praying for you.

Your plight with food gratification and your honest struggle for emotional emancipation is so inspiring. I'm feeling a bit anxious but very positive being a witness to this extreme journey you are bravely taking on. I know this is an incredibly serious therapy and I think you can absolutely do it! I will not be missing a single vid from here on in. Love to you Boogie!

I gave up Mountain Dew after 25 years about 2 months ago after my Doc said my blood sugar was way to high. Cold turkey, had a mild headache for about 2 weeks. Now I hardly ever think about it. And I feel so much better. Lost about 15 pounds in a month.

You totally got this man, no sweat.

Don't forget to take a 'before' picture to compare to when you're done!

Boogie I am so proud of you just for making it this far. I teared up a bit when you poured out the mountain dew and I didn't have a dry eye the rest of the video. I've been rooting for you for years and I'll continue to root for you through and following surgery. Love you boogie ❤️

That was very strong, to dump out the soda before it was finished.

You can do it, Boogie! I'm excited for you, sir. I'm down to 280 from 375 pounds and it's crazy how different life can be now that I'm approaching being "near normal". I don't think most people understand how overweight people have to navigate the world differently, and the types of things we are insecure about and fearful of. I'm sending you all my excess willpower and good vibes, but you're going to kill it!
