Sounds like me as well. Many comments here reflect that you, Pastor Rick, had this same kind of childhood. Your father preceded you and gave you a bad reputation, my older brother preceded me and gave me the bad reputation. I hated fishing, baseball, football and all sports as well. I liked going into the woods and pretend I was acting in a movie. I've heard you tell me about your "stupid" experience, and I cannot get tired of hearing it because it's so poignant. You are definitely not stupid. I've listened to many of your sermons, read a few of your books, and I think you're one of the best pastors out there. God bless you. He's already blessed me by having me stumble into you. BTW I would've gone to the concert and the museum with you.

High school in Derby, KS, now has children pick advanced placement tracks to pick their future. I told my granddaughter to take some classes outside of her medical track. She found she likes accounting more. The devil is rampant in public schools.

All l can say is "You are brilliant" and thank you for being so nakedly honest about Satan and sharing your life. There are so many pastors and preaches and so many versions of how Satan works. No one explains it to your extent and honesty.

As a union electrician I think there’s a huge misconception about trade school and the trades. It’s not the lesser option than convention university. It’s often the better option as it relates to career success & income potential.

Wow. He just described my life. After an abusive childhood I got pregnant in 9th grade by a 12th grader. Everything went downhill for years and years. Finally the Lord put His had on me! Praise God!
