This feels like one of the good old days where you talked about the Skyfall steelbook or even the Bond 50 set back in 2012/13. If I was able to import them all, I would definitely do that cause I love their designs. Then again, the minute I do that, they’ll announce a big 4K collection or something haha.

Nice video! There's something nostalgic about watching Bond on physical media. The 2006 Ultimate Edition sets was where I watched most of the series on repeat. I love those sets. I'll be willing to buy a 25 film collection on 4K, and a 4K player, I'd make that final physical media leap.

I own every Bond film on blu ray, but the only steelbook I have is the 2015 release for Casino Royale. It's one of my favorite Bond films and the artwork from the opening title sequence is just gorgeous. Those new ones look pretty great though, very nice collection Calvin 🙂

Hey Calvin. I was watching a channel that covers physical media recently who was covering a list of films WB puts out to members of some group they have to vote on for 4k releases. One of the selections to vote on was a Connery Bond 4k set, so maybe some movement on that front. Although, I wish they'd do what was done with the 4 volume Ultimate Edition dvd sets from years back. A mix of Bond actors/films for each set. Do the slimmer, individual cases again, but this time with the original one sheet posters for each film as the artwork. That would be the ideal way to do it for me. Cheers.

Agreed on folded posters. On one hand I feel the creases give it a classic look! On the other hand my preferred poster appearance is as is, nice and smooth. And if you must pull it down in compact form if moving house you can always roll it up.

I'm not a fan of those Craig ones either. Too boring just having a line-up of him posing. Although I dig the different background colours! Turquoise is just more vibrant than a blank white void.

I don't own these steelbooks, but I dig the approach of taking screengrabs from the various title sequences and using them as packaging. The sequences are a huge part of the iconography of the Bond films, after all.

I love the Zaavi collection. I wish I could justify repurchasing the movies to get them. Maybe when I start my new job next month with more money coming in.

1:03 I got the feeling they were trying to tie into the Craig films with those covers as there more subdued than prior released ['if you like the new films, try these'] and the single Disk DVD's [which were the 1st disk from the ultimate edition without the extras] tying into Skyfall [often just Bond looking stoic] which are used on youtube/streaming. It reminds me of when they re-released Adam West's Batman movie which was Batman on the cover looking serious so customers thought they were getting 'The Dark Knight'-they were in for a shock when they actually watched the film!
