Did you know that in INTERSTELLAR... During the docking maneuver, Cooper pushes his head in the opposite direction of the spin, while Brand keeps hers towards it -- resulting in her blacking out. Because he's the more experienced one.

This is the definition of attention to detail

Same trick I learned in racing school as a kid. You keep your head leaned into the curve to counter the centrifugal effects of the turn. Same concept in space.

looks like cooper paid attention in astrophysics class

This is the only part of the movie that took me out as both individuals on a mission of that importance would be of a sufficient skill level to know that.

"Did you know that" there's an '80s anime mini series, ova (or whatever a handful of episodes is called) anime called Gunbuster where technology was developed to travel close to light speed?

This was used to fight against space monsters and the trade off was pretty much like it was in Interstellar.

That whole time moving faster thing where each second "here" at light speed DAYS go by back on Earth.

Obviously one is animated and the other is live action.

Recently GB had an anniversary Blu-ray release with English dub for the first time in decades.
Edit) GB was made by the same studio that later did Kill La Kill, Gurren Lagann and Darling In The Franxx.

When we watched this movie in my science class my teacher paused it at all the important “attention to detail”moments like this and explained why they were important to the plot.

Probably my favourite film. The blackhole called Gargantua, took a team of 30 people and thousands of computers over a year to create. Some individual frames took up to 100 hours to render.

Interstellar, one of the best movies I've ever seen!

Wouldn’t this technically be a white-out not a blackout? Since the blood rushes into her head, not away from it (unlike in most fighter jet manoeuvres, where the pilot is pushed away from the blood flow, like cooper positions himself). The tolerance for blackout is much higher than for white-out, with even a few gs being potentially very dangerous in a white out while most fighter pilots can take up to 7-9 gs…

She knew she was going to black out. She was preparing

I did indeed know this, and I watched it yesterday, realizing what was going on. They had a similar scene at the beginning when they were taking off.

Cooper gained this experience by learning from his mistakes

I thought that they were on opposite sides of the spin center that’s why their heads went opposite, except that doctor’s inner arm went limply towards the center not outwards which seemed inconsistent with my perception.
