Watched the replay a few times yesterday and today, it seems like the whole incident stems from the pass. The pass was clean from Viñales, but forced a slight change in racing line from Bagnaia. This change in line was not noticed by Viñales because he was in front, and Bagnaia was only aiming to preserve the best line available to him after he was forced to change. This brought the two riders together with no time to react, contact was made putting the two riders out of control. This was one of the purest examples of a racing incident I've seen in a long time. No malice, both riders were attempting to stay on their cleanest possible racing lines, those lines just happened to intersect with no time for evasive reactions.

Racing incident for sure, but Vinales slightly more to blame if anything. Hilarious how riding back on the same bike completely calmed them down and resolved the issue. That should be a new rule. If two riders collide they must get a ride back on the same bike/scooter.

Mav tried to take the corner as if he wasn’t wide in the previous one. Needed to lift and tip in sooner if he wanted that inside line to stick. Too much speed and hence gyroscopic force to make that radius from his position which is why he went straight on into Pecco. Pecco and everyone behind him were on the optimal racing line, Mav was the only one out of place.

Hopefully Pecco doesn't meet bad luck again after this, it's important for him to keep leading the championship by a lot of points before Bestia comes back and shows him the real fight 🔥

I think Maverick overreacted. From the rear onboard camera, it is clear that Pecco maintains the racing line. Viñales' overtake was clean, but he went wide in the braking zone and lost the racing line. Pecco had the racing line, and when Viñales tried to reclaim it, the crash occurred. However i see a racing incident

Pecco just said "there is no penalty" ? Why when 2 riders in moto 3 have penalty when they are a little bit fighting and them no?

Vinales was very wrong to attack and hit Bagnaia in the head when he was still down after the incident. His behaviour should definitely not go unpunished.

I can fully understand losing your cool at the moment of the incident because you don't know any better. It shows the person Maverick is to apologise once they cooled down a bit

It's Pecco's fault 100%. Maverick was in front and Bagnaia could have waited before trying to pass.

Racing incident - shame tempers flared a bit, but understandable after a heart stopper like that!!
