I tried a bunch of different solutions to play mxf files but this was the winner!

It seems to contain a virus. McAfee detected the Artemis trojan during installation. However, McAfee deleted the file containing the trojan, and then I was able to play the mxf file.

Thank you. This certainly works in order to play clips with Windows Media Player. A great start. I still have a problem as my editing software (Nerovision) won't recognise MXF. Many converters demand money before they even prove they can do the job. i used to use Freemake but now it crashes all the time, despite multiple re-installs. If you could help Id be very grateful.

Could you help me...AM trying to get the footage downloaded into my Premier Pro will using windows every other tutorial i found thus far is mac based.

I think I downloaded malware or a virus. All of my shortcut keys have changed and I cannot work with Adobe Premier Pro now. It looks like a gaming software has been downloaded. I went to the k-lite pack codec file by typing it into the address bar. Caution.
