Looks fantastic! So glad you listened to many of our requests. The undo feature in the mix console is a must-have for the super-fast production cycle I work under. And the simplified sampler is a wonderful idea. Although I use Kontakt and Halion and don't find them too difficult, I have long felt the desire to work with a simpler, quicker sampler for certain tasks. I can't wait to try #9 later today!

Been using Cubase since version SX 1 and never looked back, its evolved so much. For people that are asking for things that aren't in Cubase 9, try to learn your own work arounds so that you can be content with your setup. For certain things Cubase doesn't do, or do well, I usually use a 3rd party plugin that does do what I want or another DAW rewired and record the output. It's all about using what's there to develop a unique workflow and it requires problem solving unfortunately...

Nice update Andy. Steinberg have made some subtle but very useful changes in this update. Workflow improvements certainly help to speed some things up and the VST scanner is exceptionally useful.

This looks exciting, but is there any change to the insert slots limitation? 6 pre fader inserts just isn't enough for many of us. If that's not included in Cubase Pro 9, is it still on a list?

Der Sampler-Track macht auf jeden Fall Sinn, ebenso wie die drei Buttons für die Fenster-Ansichten, die seit Cubase 8 etwas sperriger geworden sind! I agree the Sampler-Track makes sense - getting back to the basics. Also the three view buttons are small but smart innovations!

From what I have seen in the teaser it looks great. Excited to upgrade and have a play. The mixer history will be a life saver, the sample track, and using instruments as effects (I think you called it audio side chain) will be a creative fun tool of endless inspiration. Audio in for instruments Is something I requested! Amazing and thank you! So great to see it implemented! Will the new maker tracks export in to wave lab now? Overall very impressed with what I have seen. Ben

I've been working with Cubase 9 for the past few hours...Good update!!! The zone concept is a huge time saver. It's great for people like me who often mix and edit at the same time due to crushing deadlines. The new sampler is super handy. Even if you have or normally use other 'power-house' samplers as I do, having this little critter there is helpful....it's so quick and fun to use too. Hmmm...lots of cool new things...but I would like to see the metronome worked on....any plans for that in the future? For example, a 6/8 bar is usually thought of as 'compound duple meter' where the dotted quarter note gets the beat, but Cubase doesn't follow that scheme or have an option to which can be a hassle sometimes. Anyway, this is not the time to complain. Congrats on a great release! Big improvement.

Has the render feature been expanded on? I always wanted to render without processing the fader level, ie render pre-fader, simply to process the FX in the inserts but without committing to fader volume mix level.

Wow! Really tempting! How cpu efficient is Cubase on Mac now? I remember the last time I used Cubase (4 or 5 I think) it was way behind Logic in efficiency.
