I'm surprised so many people saw Eric and Sookie together!? It's different in the book. I didn't see any evidence of love in the show. And I don't think he's capable of high feelings, and it's clear that Eric is not known for his fidelity. Yes, he's grateful to her, he feels something passionate, but I don't think it's love. Sookie has saved his life many times. He doesn't value her life enough to win her over or change for her. She's just a person with abilities that are useful to him at the moment. And a Faye-esque vagina. He's kind of tossed around from season to season. Eric's starting to be nice to her, but he also nobly framed her for Long Shadow. A 1, 000-year-old vampire couldn't stop The Shadow? No, he and Pam let Bill stupidly kill him. And for what? To get Sookie. In Season 4, they have feelings, the boy gets dumped, and what happens is, "Fuck Sookie." Why? I mean, he wants to live, but he doesn't prioritize Sookie's life. He's great again, they hug. In Season 4, he bites Tara, the best friend of the one he feels something for. In season 3, jeopardized Sookie's life for revenge. You can rant all you want about that (but revenge was paramount to him. And meeting and championing Nora's traHHH with Nora kinda didn't say much about his love for Sookie to me. I see him as a selfish, ambitious and not always honorable vampire. That's why I love him, he's the Bad Guy.
