Yup, for the needed to be online part, its more of periodically, when you download the game and run it once it will "activate" for denuvo then you can play it for 1-2 weeks (depend on the game) without having to need internet, after those weeks has passed denuvo will check again to see if your game is connected to internet then repeat 1-2 weeks
