I’m currently in Vegas moving my mom here and I was on the strip today and the construction of the track has messed up everything. To ask them to pay for that is outrageous when people have to go thru that already

The hotels will charge insane money for rooms with a view, F1 know this and are cutting them off at the pass. Its actually quite clever

These F1 people are forgetting the casinos around the venue have lost a lot of money because of construction. They should benefit from this event as should all the workers

I guess it's okay for the FIA to build grandstands in front of a hotel/casino that hasn't payed anything to have a view over the track (I mean, they have to have grandstands somewhere), but shining lights towards the hotels and building obstacles that have no other function than blocking the view is a bit over the top. If they decide to have street course in the middle of a city, they just have to accept that people who hasn't paid will still be able to watch parts of the race.

There was a news report the other day about how they put hard to see through film over the glass walls on the pedestrian bridges around the track so people can't watch the race for free.
They were already being peeled off because people are obviously pissed about it but I wouldn't doubt if they just reapplied it on the other side next time so people can't rip it off. It's a shame that us locals don't get to enjoy anything fun about the race but have been dealing with all the annoyances for months already and likely more to come after the race.

Yes if f1 wants everyone to pay to see the race than f1 should build a permanent track in Vegas. There’s definitely enough room for it
