Thank you. I saw those 2 hatches/covers before, but I’ve never pulled out the towing hooks 🪝 from the trunk.

Can these points be used to yank the car out of a ditch, for example?

CAUTION: This video only applies to NON-HYBRID models of the Rav4. You CAN NOT flat tow a Rav4 Hybrid or Rav4 Prime (these models have the P-710 and P-810 E-CVT transaxle). This is because the car's engine control computer automatically engages the parking pawl and the parking brakes whenever the power is switched off. To use the towing eyes to pull the car out of something that it's stuck in, deep sand or snow, for example, the driver has to be in the car, with the power "on", the READY light on, the gear selector in Neutral, and the parking brakes disengaged. This is ONLY to be used to pull the stuck car a few feet, and at no more than walking speed. NEVER allow a tow truck driver to tow your Rav4 Hybrid or Prime with any of the wheels on the ground! The ONLY way that any Toyota AWD vehicle with an E-CVT can be towed, is on a flatbed truck, or a car trailer, with all four wheels off the ground. Any other towing situation will severely damage the drivetrain.
